C.M. Clinton Reel

C.M. Clinton, Ithaca, NY

Charles Clinton patented his side-mount fly reel on Oct. 29, 1889. The reel is usually made of nickel silver (German silver) and has an internal click. Models have been found made of aluminum and of Gold plated German silver. It's a scarce and collectable fly reel.
